How to report an error

If you spot a factual error, an outdated detail, or a broken source link in one of our articles, tell us. The fastest way is through our Contact page. Include the article’s URL and a short description of what’s wrong. We review every report.

How we handle corrections

Minor corrections. Typos, formatting issues, or small clarifications that don’t change the substance of a story are fixed directly, without a separate note.
Substantive corrections. Errors that affect a fact, a quote, a figure, or the meaning of a story are corrected in the article and marked with a visible note near the top or bottom of the piece (for example: “Correction [date]: an earlier version of this article stated …”), so readers can see what changed.
